Episode 10: Northern Beaches
Episode 10: Northern Beaches
Join Hayden Quinn for a glorious sunrise surf on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, breakfast at a trendy bakehouse and a sun-drenched snorkel at Shelly Beach.
Hayden, a proud Northern Beaches local, meets up with his sister Madison Quinn for a sunrise surf at Manly Beach. “An early start on a beautiful day in the Northern Beaches. And it’s action packed!”
After an awesome few waves as the sun rises, Madison and Hayden head for a post-surf fuel up at the buzzy Rollers Bakehouse. This breezy spot is well-known for seriously good coffee (brewed from Okay Coffee beans) and delectable baked goodies.
Next up, Hayden embarks on another aquatic adventure, this time at picturesque Pittwater for a guided paddle with Pittwater Kayak Tours.
Hayden joins a morning tour across Pittwater and spots some slumbering fur seals, sunning themselves on the rocks after a feast of fish! Pittwater Kayak Tours offer two-to-three hour guided tours taking in the natural wonders of this pretty peninsula.
The natural beauty of the Northern Beaches doesn’t stop on the water’s surface. Hayden dives a little deeper with a rejuvenating afternoon snorkel at Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve and Shelly Beach. “Shelly Beach like you’ve never seen it before!” says Hayden.
Gliding through schools of brightly coloured fish the water is unbelievably crystal clear. Hayden is snorkelling with Damien from EcoTreasures, a Manly-based tour company offering guided snorkelling tours, paddleboarding and more, with advanced eco-tourism accreditation.
