Taste of Australia with Hayden Quinn – Enmore

Taste Enmore with Hayden Quinn

Cook, author, presenter and MasterChef Australia contestant Hayden Quinn delves into Sydney’s incredible restaurants, rich culture and natural beauty for season four of Taste of Australia with Hayden Quinn: Sydney Edition. This week he discovers the local dining scene and listens to live music in the Inner West suburb of Enmore.

“We’re on Enmore Road right now, this place is bustling and vibing, there is so much going on. Good breweries, great food, really good coffee. I’m on my way to meet up with a new friend, Will.”

Hayden visits Taste Organic to pick up some ingredients. He's impressed by how fresh the produce is here and grabs some mushrooms and cabbage.

Hayden heads to The Warren View Hotel to cook up some pub grub for the band before their show. “I’m going to be doing a spin on a classic – a pulled mushroom burger."

Hayden visits The Warren View Hotel, or the ‘The Waz’ as it’s known to regulars, popular for its burger menu and other booze-friendly snacks like crispy chicken wings. It has one of the best-kept secret beer gardens in the neighbourhood, where all are welcome – including dogs.

Cottonmouth is a cool little spot here in Enmore, it’s run by a guy called Zach. It’s a bar, a record shop and a record label,” says Hayden. “It’s a bit of an extension of my house,” says Zach. I like everyone to feel welcome.”

You can visit during the day to pick up a few records or hang in the intimate backroom at night and nurse a whisky.

Hayden heads to The Vanguard to see Grinding Eyes play. “It’s been an amazing day, but this is the moment I’ve been waiting for – a little bit of live music!”
