Western Sydney sporting champion Nathan Hindmarsh shares his Western Sydney secrets.
Favourite park: Fagan Park in Galston.
Invigorating walk: Any walk is a good walk, but I love The River Caves just off Bells Line Of Road outside Bell.
Best view: Easily Echo Point Lookout in the Blue Mountains.
Favourite shop: Harley Davidson of Blacktown.
Family friendly activity: How can you beat Wet’n’Wild Sydney in Prospect.
For sports lovers: You can’t go past Pirtek Stadium in Parramatta. Go and watch the Eels or Wanderers and then take a short walk to Church Street for a bite to eat.
Best for a family dinner: If I’m looking for value for money I would have to say Criniti’s at Castle Hill or Parramatta.
Heritage site: The Macquarie Arms Hotel in Windsor – it’s the oldest pub in Australia.
Local cafe: The Tuckshop in Glenhaven. It has great coffee and great food that caters for all tastes and a really relaxed atmosphere so bring your kids along. And I own it!
