Potts Point

Just 3 km east of the city is Potts Point, a small, busy urban hub of restaurants, cafes, galleries and beautiful architecture, especially Georgian and Art Deco. Within Potts Point sits Kings Cross and the main streets of Macleay Street, Victoria Street and Darlinghurst Road which are lined with pubs, shops and great eateries. Highlights of the area include great coffee, hip laneway brunch spots, and upmarket casual dining that is some of the best in the city. There are also some great views of the city and the harbour from Potts Point.

On weekends, you can take a walk down the hills into neighbouring Woolloomooloo and stroll along the wharves, have lunch by the water, grab a pint at a historic pub or attend a gallery opening or independent theatre production. The area has become famous as one of the most sought after postcodes in Australia, thanks to notable resident Aussie actor Russell Crowe, whose Woolloomooloo penthouse is reportedly valued at over $14 million.
