My name is Sam and I like to point my camera at things.
I’m a self-taught photographer from Sydney’s North and I specialise in landscape, cityscape and seascape photography. Luckily, I live in the best city in the world to accomplish all three!
I first picked up a camera around 3 years ago and have been shooting seriously for a year. Along the way, I discovered one of my strongest passions: seeking out the beauty that constantly surrounds us and capturing it in the best possible light.
The world around us can be so vivid and interesting: the way the sky takes on colour during a spectacular sunset, the way water flows over the amazing rock formations on our beaches, or the way morning’s first light breaks through and highlights the subtleties of a wide vista.
My goal in photography is not only to convey what I see in front of me, but also to convey the emotion and drama I feel from that scene.
While I’m only at the start of my photography journey, I remain excited to see what I can capture next in our ever-changing world. I love getting out and about around Sydney shooting, and you can usually find me hanging around Sydney Harbour when there’s the promise of a nice sunset. Thankfully I have a wonderful wife who encourages me to indulge my passion and get out there to shoot!
I love getting questions and comments and meeting new folks through social media, you can follow my shots on the following channels.
