Gear up for the many national and international sporting events set to take place in Sydney during the last week of May. Dubbed ‘Sydney Super Week’, the final seven days of autumn will see AFL and NRL matches, badminton tournaments and exclusive football games played out across the NSW capital’s sporting venues by world-class athletes.

Saturday 23rd of May – NSW Waratahs VS. Crusaders at ANZ Stadium
Witness a rematch of the Super Rugby Grand Final as the NSW Waratahs and New Zealand’s Crusaders battle it out for crucial competition points. Visit the main venue of the 2000 Olympic Games and see if the Waratahs’ hometown advantage will be enough for the team to reign victorious over the Crusaders.

Tuesday 26th of May to Sunday 31st of May – Australian Badminton Open at Sydney Olympic Park
Head to Sydney Olympic Park for six days of stiff competition between the titans of the badminton scene. Catch Olympic medal winners, world champions and SuperSeries winners facing off during the Sydney leg of the Badminton World Federation tournament circuit.

Wednesday 27th of May – Game One of State of Origin at ANZ Stadium
Stop by ANZ Stadium to watch the only game of this year’s annual Rugby League’s series held in New South Wales. Watch on as rivals Queensland and New South Wales go head to head for series supremacy and a year of well-deserved bragging rights.

Friday 29th of May – Sydney Swans VS. Carlton at the Sydney Cricket Ground
Catch the first game of the AFL’s Indigenous Round under the bright lights at the famous Sydney Cricket Ground. Watch Indigenous players Adam Goodes, Lewis Jetta, Lance Franklin and the rest of the Swans take on the Blues in jerseys celebrating the contribution of Indigenous athletes in shaping Australian Rules Football.

Saturday 30th of May – Sydney FC VS. Tottenham Hotspur at ANZ Stadium
Watch on as local team Sydney FC takes on English Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur during this one-off football game. Signalling the start of a series of off-season tours by some of Europe’s most popular teams, including Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester City, the game promises an unmissable display of sporting skill from some of the sport’s greats.
