Whether you were a fan of the original Addams Family television show, the 1990s films or are introducing a brand new generation to the spooky world of Morticia, Gomez, Lurch, Wednesday and Uncle Fester, you won’t want to miss the Australian debut of the hit musical that has taken Broadway by storm!
The Addams Family Musical is set to land on Australian shores at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney on March 10, and whether you are a theatre buff or a fan of classic television, you won’t want to miss out.
The new musical picks up with a brand new, never-before-seen story in which Wednesday Addams has grown up and fallen in love – with a clean-cut, “regular” boy from a respectable family! When she lets her father Gomez in on the secret, he is torn between loyalty to his daughter and his wife. Of course, all this happens just as the spooky family prepares to host a dinner for this young man and his parents – it’s every father’s nightmare!
Starring John Walters, Russell Dykstra and Chloe Dallimore, The Addams Family will have you laughing in your seat from start to finish.
Describe by CBS News as being “full of charm, wit and surprises,” the family-friendly production is suitable for children ages seven and older. Tickets can be purchased online or from the Capitol Theatre, which is located at 13 Campbell Street in Haymarket.
You can even make an evening or weekend out of the performance – why not grab a bite to eat or a pre-show drink in Sydney’s city centre before the show gets underway? This is a brilliant area of the city to stay in if you are planning to spend a short getaway in Sydney – you will be right in the heart of the action when it comes to shopping, arts and culture.
