Harry Potter: The Exhibition

2 March 2012

Harry Potter Exhibition, Sydney

Do you love all things Harry Potter? Well there is less than 6 weeks left to check out this amazing Exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum. This is the first and only Australian stop of Harry Potter™: The Exhibition and you’ll feel like you’ve stepped right into the film series. This exhibition allows you to get up close and personal with the amazing craftsmanship that went into creating the iconic props and costumes that have appeared throughout the Harry Potter series.

Come check out complete sets like the Gryffindor™ common room, Hagrid’s hut and the Great Hall—all full of real artifacts from the movies. There will even be new props and costumes from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows™ : Part 1 and Part 2. In addition to all this, there are also two new display cases featuring several items for the first time, such as:
• A Deathly Hallows case displaying the Resurrection Stone, the Invisibility Cloak and the Elder Wand; and
• a Horcrux case containing the notorious magical items used to safeguard pieces of Voldemort’s soul.

We found a great quote from Suzanne Jamieson on the Exhibition’s Facebook page:

“Saw the Exhibition yesterday with my sister. We LOVED it! We were so impressed by the attention to detail, not only in the artifacts, but the way the exhibition was set out; even the store felt as though it could have been in Diagon Alley. Now we want to re-read and re-watch the movies all over again. Thank you for a wonderful day.”

Doesn’t that alone make you want to check out this Exhibition? Don’t miss it because Sydney is the first Australian stop….and the last!
