High Fidelity, Hayes Theatre, 18 November – 17 December

One of the season’s most underrated musicals, High Fidelity is based on the bestselling novel by Nick Hornby. This musical adaptation follows the woes of record shop owner Rob Gordon who, after failing yet another relationship, reaches out to five ex-girlfriends in his search for true happiness. Toby Francis will star as Gordon, alongside six other members from the Australian cast of Cyndi Lauper’s hit musical, Kinky Boots. Featuring an original score from Tony Award-winner Tom Kitt, High Fidelity takes audiences on a musical journey through record-store favourites such as Marvin Gaye, Bruce Springsteen, Aretha Franklin, Guns ’n’ Roses, and more.
