Making its debut in Sydney for the first time in its five-year history, the Rob Guest Endowment Gala Concert will line up the best and brightest in Aussie musical theatre on November 25 2013.
The historic Lyric Theatre in Pyrmont will be the venue for this exciting event, where entertainment legend Bert Newton will host the collection of talented musicians as they battle it out for the coveted top spot.
The prize they are all seeking is the honour of winning the Rob Guest Endowment Award, as well as a prize of $12,000 to help them on their way towards an illustrious musical career.
Local talent Adam Garcia will also be joining the six finalists on stage during the evening.
This event is a chance for new talented artists in Australia to make their way onto the world scene, so it’s both a great experience and promises to be a magical night of uplifting music and exhilarating performances. So, come along to support these amazing acts!
While you’re waiting for the night to begin, why not dine out at one of Pyrmont’s excellent restaurants – Bartino lends itself perfectly to a night spent with friends at the theatre, with a selection of decadent Portuguese tapas made to be enjoyed outside in the sunny courtyard. Balla @ The Star is another divine option, boasting a chef’s hat in this year’s Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide, incredible views through its floor-to-ceiling windows and delicious Italian dishes. For those of you looking for a real Australian meal, Black by Ezard is the place to be, with a menu full of Aussie steaks and seafood and an impressive wine list to match.
