Catalina is one of Australia’s great destination fine dining restaurants situated on a landmark Rose Bay site on Sydney Harbour’s eastern foreshore.

Michael and Judy McMahon opened Catalina in 1994 with a simple goal, to be Sydney’s favourite place to eat the best by the water. Their children James and Kate have now taken the reins to run the restaurant with the same sentiment in mind.

The restaurant was designed as a homage to the beauty of Sydney Harbour. Diners have a panoramic view of Sydney Harbour at water-level, punctuated only by the comings and goings of a working harbour and incoming commuter sea planes based in front of the restaurant.

Although its location and panoramic view of the harbour alone is enough to class it as one of the most romantic restaurants globally, its service, ambience and incredible dining offering take it to the next level.

The menu designed by Executive Chef Mark Axisa and Head Chef Alan O’Keeffe, offers a wealth of contemporary dishes along with many classics, with an emphasis on the finest seafood available, and the wine list has been recognised as being amongst the best in Australia.
