Owned and operated for 30 years by the McMahon family, Michael and Judy McMahon opened Catalina in 1994 with a simple goal, to be Sydney's favourite place to eat the best by the water. Their son James and daughter Kate have now taken the reins to run the restaurant with the same sentiment in mind.
Catalina is renowned for its multi award-winning seasonal menus, sustainably sourced seafood, and acclaimed wine list. The menu designed by Executive Chef Mark Axisa and Head Chef Alan O'Keeffe, offers a wealth of contemporary dishes along with many classics, with an emphasis on the finest seafood available, and the wine list has been recognised as being amongst the best in Australia.
