The Bodyboard Academy, also in Cronulla, has lessons for kids and adults alike with Australian world champion Lilly Pollard.
Ready to wipeout in the Northern Beaches? You can’t go wrong with a lesson with Manly Surf School and Manly Surf Guide. At Dee Why, Red Dog Surf has several one-hour sessions, including an earlybird option for those wanting to do as the local surfers do. While Chix Surf School at Freshwater has all-female classes. Manly and nearby Freshwater are recognised as an Australian National Surfing Reserve, along with Bondi, Cronulla, North Narrabeen and Maroubra.
