Featured Photographer – Demas Rusli

I am a Sydney based full-time architect and hobbyist photographer working at the architecture firm FJMT Studio.

I’m originally from Jakarta, Indonesia but my family moved to Sydney when I was 7 years old, so I’ve been living here ever since. I picked up my first DSLR camera about 5 years ago and fell in love with photography, exploring new places, and capturing them in unique ways.

Sydney is a great place to learn about photography as it has a good mixture of urban and nature that are so close to each other. Some of my favourite places to shoot are the Sydney Opera House, all the spiral staircases inside the Sydney architecture, and also the amazing rock formations along the coast (such as at Bondi and Maroubra).
