McQuade Park Windsor

McQuade Park was laid out by Governor Lachlan Macquarie in 1810 as the town square for Windsor, positioned in front of the historic St Matthew's Church.
Today, it is a spacious and picturesque park in the heart of Windsor, featuring a large sports field, a heritage rotunda, picnic shelters, and public toilet facilities. A scenic pond at one end of the park adds to its charm and is a popular backdrop for wedding photography, as well as a peaceful spot to relax and watch the resident ducks.
History enthusiasts will appreciate the prominent statue of Governor Macquarie, located opposite one of the Hawkesbury's most significant heritage landmarks, St Matthew's Anglican Church and Cemetery.
