Tall shady trees, generous grassy areas and bush walks are just a few of the reasons to visit Bowen Mountain Park.
Take a break, relax and enjoy the serenity at the picnic tables and make use of the electric barbecue facilities for your picnic lunch. Toilets are also available. There are no shops at Bowen Mountain, and the closest village is Kurrajong, so please bring all you need with you.
It is a great park for families as the playground has current equipment with soft fall ground coverings –watch the kids enjoy themselves on the slippery dips, swings, climbing gear and see-saw. Bowen Mountain also has some bushwalks nearby.
The play area is shaded by mature trees, and they are mainly natives such as Turpentine trees, Red Cedar and Eucalypts. You will also find an English Oak, a Cork Tree and a small Bunya Pine.
You will find the park by turning right at the T junction onto Lieutenant Bowen Road, continue north past Bunya Crescent.
Pure joy as you wake to the sunrise. Awe as you make it to the snowy peak. A sense of adventure as you motor across red plains. The relief of rejuvenation as you wade into an alpine stream. Connection as you taste native, fragrant leaves. A sense of belonging as you return to your favourite holiday house. Freedom as you dash into the waves. Discover the endless feelings a visit to NSW can inspire.
