Part pub, part restaurant and part cocktail bar, Merivale-led The Paddington (once the Paddington Arms) is the traditional neighbourhood pub, reimagined. Each space has its own distinct style, but the vibe is always relaxed.
Chef Ben Greeno is the man behind the menu, which focuses on traditional French rotisserie. There’s a half or a whole sticky-skinned Bannockburn chicken, served with fries; a lamb or beef rump; and a whole fish barramundi topped with rose harissa; and even rotisserie lobster with seaweed butter, furikake fries and cos salad, if you’re feeling fancy. If you’re not, and just want a light bite, Greeno has you sorted with Sydney rock oysters, edamame dip and all manner of roasted vegetables and salads – perfect on their own or as a side to your rotisserie feast.
