Home to the first permanent eatery from Rosa Cienfuegos – well known for her popular, twice-monthly pop up at the Marrickville Market – the Tamaleria and Mexican Deli is drawing loyal fans in weekend after weekend thanks to its mouth-watering menu of Oaxaca-style hot tamales, street-style tacos and burritos, and rotating specials such as empanadas, ceviche and chiles rellenos.
As well as eat-in and takeaway food from the deli counter, customers can shop for homemade salsas, sauces, specialty Mexican ingredients and DIY kits. If you are not sure where to start, Rosa or one of her team members are always up for a chat to talk ingredients and share recipes.
