Experience a fascinating glimpse into the history of the Dairy Cottage Precinct in Parramatta Park through monthly guided tours held by the City’s Host and Guides.

Built in 1796, the Dairy Cottage was home to George Salter, an ex-convict turned cattleman. It later became part of Governor Macquarie's Domain, now on the World Heritage list.

In the early 1800s, the cottage was enlarged and converted to a dairy with a sunken milk-processing room constructed alongside. The milk room remains today and can be viewed beneath the adjacent Ranger's Cottage.

You will be able to see Parramatta Park story unfold in a brand-new audio-visual exhibition inside these two important historic buildings.

Does not cater for people with access needs.
