Play - Surf and Beaches

Sydney is home to some of the world’s best beaches, with hundreds of pristine beaches along NSW’s 2,000km of winding coastline. NSW has a lively beach culture - there’s nothing more Aussie than a day at the beach.

Sydney has over 30 beaches, making it the ideal place to learn how to surf. Learn to surf at iconic Bondi beach with Let's Go Surfing, or venture further out and sign up for a surf camp.

Surfing, Palm Beach

Surf Camp Australia can teach you how to catch a wave at Seven Mile Beach on the NSW South Coast, or lead you north to Surfers Paradise itself and the legendary Byron Bay.

Most of Australia’s beaches are patrolled by Surf Life Saving Australia, who mark the safest part of the beach with red and yellow flags. If you need help while you’re in the water, remember to remain calm and try to attract attention. You can check surf conditions and find out more at www.beachsafe.org.au.
