For locals, the historic pub on the southwestern edge of Sydney holds a special place in their hearts. Built in 1835, it is one of Australia’s oldest pubs and has for 180 years been the venue for family gatherings, lunches, live music and social drinks.
After being devastated by floods in 2016, the drinks are now flowing and the music is once again playing at the two front bars and through to the courtyard. Their traditional pub-style accommodation is again making guests comfortable and their brand new bistro, Stonequarry Bar and Grill, boasts a delicious menu including all of the pub classics as well as gourmet dishes.
Pure joy as you wake to the sunrise. Awe as you make it to the snowy peak. A sense of adventure as you motor across red plains. The relief of rejuvenation as you wade into an alpine stream. Connection as you taste native, fragrant leaves. A sense of belonging as you return to your favourite holiday house. Freedom as you dash into the waves.
