This well-known lookout and reserve is located at scenic Freemans Reach in the Hawkesbury. The lookout entices visitors and locals alike who stop to take in the picturesque views across the Hawkesbury River and Richmond lowlands.
Streeton Lookout is part of the Hawkesbury Artists Trail as Streeton Lookout Reserve is a short distance from the place where Sir Arthur Streeton painted his famous landscape painting in 1896. (The Purple Noon’s Transparent Might).
It is an ideal spot to take time out or to stop for a casual picnic lunch as the reserve has shelters, barbecues and toilets available. Often you will see small groups painting or sketching the landscape.
Please contact the Visitor Information Centre for more information on this great place to visit or for a copy of the Hawkesbury Artists Trail.
