The city's parrots are amazing. Whilst their kangaroos, koalas and wombats are iconic, there’s more to Australia than the amazing mammals. Did you know that one sixth of the world’s parrots call Australia home? 56 species of the 300 or so species of parrot are found in Australia, and only five of these are found elsewhere in the world. More than a dozen of these are found in Sydney and many are found throughout the city's suburbs.

On their Sydney Parrots tour, they will search for parrots in at least three different locations around the city. During the day they may see many of their colourful parrots including king parrots, cockatoos, lorikeets, corellas, galahs and more. On some days they may only find a few of these species, on others they will find ten or so. Often, they may also see other birds including pelicans, ibis, kookaburras and magpies.
