This six-day version of this walk omits the Wragges Creek to Perisher via Guthega walk.

The Kosciuszko National Park in the Snowy Mountains is a mecca for walkers who are keen to experience rugged scenery, and beautiful wildflowers and climb to the top of Mount Kosciuszko.

Walk alongside rivers and undulating valleys and above the treeline to the glacially formed Blue Lake and along vast snow plains. On the last day take the chairlift ride back to the top to walk down to Thredbo via Dead Horse Gap, capping off what is an amazing unbroken linear trek through the Alps.

Highlights include lunch beside pristine glacial lakes, at the summit of mountains or alongside crystal-clear creeks, and views from the summit of the highest mountain in Australia, Mount Kosciuszko. Witness millions of years of glacial, ocean and volcanic activity, walk through snow gum woodlands and colourful alpine wildflower-carpeted meadows. Enjoy panoramic 360-degree views over Victoria, Thredbo Valley and the Great Dividing Range. Look forward to being cooked and cared for by the mountain lodge hosts.
