Site Search for Mention/Reference of Something
- Log into Monsido:
- Select which domain you need to search first. If it's both, you can set the policy to scan both once you're in the settings of the new policy. For now just choose one.
- Navigate to "Policies", click "Add new policy":
- You can read through the options, but most likely you will need to choose to create your own policy
- Select to scan everything
- Choose the settings you want for your scan. This is where you can opt to choose whether it's both websites or just one:
- Now you can actually setup the search you're after when you click to "add rule to policy".
E.g. a request that we're not advertising a toxic waste beach on either website, requiring searching for "Botany Beach" and a few other terms. I will create a scan to search all text, and then a search in image text, containing those words.
Make sure to name it so you'll know what it's in reference to later:
When they're both created in the same policy it will appear like this:
Once you save you'll be taken to the home screen. The policy will immediately start scanning. You can search for it via the search bar to bring it up specifically.
NOTE: Once the report is done, you can export it into an excel document. I would recommend you choose the option of "Policy Matching Terms" report because this one will specifically show you the exact reference, rather than just the page that it's on.
