World Heritage Wonders
Saturday 12 September 2020 to Sunday 06 December 2020 (QUARTERLY event)
You don’t need to travel far to explore heritage places of international significance - right in the centre of Greater Sydney is our own World Heritage listed site. Now, for the first time, you can take part in a comprehensive and exclusive tour of this cultural icon.
Located safely away from the coast, Parramatta was the centre of governance in colonial times. Old Government House and its domains, now known as Parramatta Park, are so universally significant that they have been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List for their cultural values.
On this walking tour you will explore elegant Old Government House, the home of our first ten governors; the little-known Dairy Cottage Precinct, including the third oldest building on the mainland and a range of heritage remains scattered throughout the park. Enjoy a light lunch in heritage surrounds, which is included in the price.
This tour is suitable for adults.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time, for registration. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring water, snack and a hat.
Due to current advice on public gatherings, please contact the host of this event to confirm it is proceeding as planned.
