On the last Sunday of every month, take a unique opportunity to visit heritage listed Lancer Barracks, Parramatta and experience one of their heritage fleet of armoured fighting vehicles. You can even start its engines and drive around the Barracks.

It could be their world-famous WW2 Matilda Tank named ACE, their 50 ton Centurion Main Battle Tank or their WW2 Bren Gun Carrier, the Regiment’s first ever armoured fighting vehicle.

You can travel the length and breadth of Australia and never witness a national heritage WW2 armoured fighting vehicle that saw action in a major battle, drive around in the condition its wartime crew would have known it. Then get up close and experience the world of a "Tankie" by looking inside the tank. To watch, hear and smell a large tank fire its engines and drive around, is like watching, hearing and smelling a large steam train moving – very, very different from looking at a “dead” item in a display shed.
