Australian Society of Miniature Art (NSW) National Awards Exhibition 2026
Overview
With more than 100 artworks on display, the annual Australian Society of Miniature Art (NSW) National Awards Exhibition presents an exquisite selection of miniature works from artists across Australia.
The exhibition celebrates the quality and diversity of miniature art, with works spanning drawing, painting, original printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, hand-made books and more. The subject matter and styles are just as varied, ranging from traditional landscapes and still lifes to contemporary abstracts.
With 2D work having a perimeter of no more than 40 centimetres and miniature sculptures no more than 15 centimetres in any direction, there is a particular intimacy to miniature art. These small, collectable works invite the viewer to pause and look more closely at the detail that is an intrinsic part of this art form. They possess all the skill and power of larger works while offering the unique appeal of being highly personal objects. Many of the exhibiting artists are also recognised for their larger works.
This year's entries will be judged by award-winning artist Michael Simms.
