The Orient is an iconic pub that has has been part of Sydney's harbourside landscape since 1844. Offering warm hospitality to generations of locals and visitors, it remains a must-do in the historic Rocks district.
On the ground floor of the Orient, the Public Bar and the courtyard beer garden are welcome spots to escape the bustle of Sydney’s harbourside precinct. They also have harbour-view seating in their Alfresco area on Argyle Street with no bookings necessary.
Up on the first floor, you’ll find Mrs Jones, their dining area and terrace bar named after one of the hotel’s earliest licencees, Jane Jones. With sliding glass walls and a retractable roof, Mrs Jones’ Terrace garden bar is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious cocktail and great dining overlooking the cobbled laneways of the Rocks.
