Date My Mate brings friend-powered dating to The Beresford Hotel in Surry Hills, live and in person. One-by-one, singles are pitched by a mate to a room of other singles about why they are a catch. Then everyone mingles over drinks. There are no apps, no profiles and no swiping, just a warm, theatrical and genuinely fun night. Upstairs at The Beresford brings a big stage, cutting edge sound and tiered booths so the whole room can see, with a terrace balcony for the mingling. Guests can come to pitch a mate, to be pitched, or simply to enjoy the show. Age range is 25-45-ish (give or take).
