Children who love horses will find much to delight in in Sydney. For the under-fives, led pony rides are available at most equestrian centres. Older kids, whether beginners or more experienced, can have a lesson, trail ride and even a birthday party at Sydney's Centennial Park Equestrian Centre or within an hour of Sydney at a family-friendly venue such as Valley View Park at Grose Vale. Pony camps are available during school holidays, or enjoy a family day out at the Golden Ridge Animal Farm, where kids can have a pony ride, feed lambs and goats, and even milk a cow.

Glenworth Valley, about an hour north of the CBD, has 3,000 acres of scenic beauty to discover, and more horse riding adventures await you in greater NSW.
