Part of the Newington Armory site, the Armory Gallery is housed in Building 18, near the Parramatta River, and is one of the largest armament storehouses constructed prior to World War Two. It now houses a flexible exhibition space that can accommodate 500 visitors at one time.

This extraordinary heritage building has the longest uninterrupted wall space of any gallery in Australia, making it a favourite location for large-scale exhibitions such as the annual ArtExpress and Operation Art.
