Erin is the restaurant and bar inside Messinaville, Gelato Messina's headquarters in Marrickville. It grew out of the Messina Creative Department degustation bar and is named after Erindale, the Messina dairy farm in Victoria that supplies much of its fruit, vegetables, milk and beef.

The kitchen draws on Italian, classic Australian and Japanese influences, and gelato or sorbet turns up across the savoury dishes and the drinks. Think gnocco fritto with jamon and parmesan gelato, or Jersey beef tartare with horseradish snow.

Guests can order a la carte, settle in for the six-course tasting menu, or book the nine-course Gelato Omakase with an optional drinks pairing. The bar pours gelato cocktails such as a spicy watermelon margarita, alongside local wine and beer.

Seating spans the restaurant, the bar counter and an outdoor spritz garden. Walk-ins are welcome and bookings are recommended. Erin is also available for private events, and a Messinaville factory tour can be paired with dinner.
