Chinese New Year Twilight Parade - Sydney

Date to be confirmed

*** Latest event details are yet to be confirmed ***

Starting at dusk, Sydney's streets are transformed by the annual Twilight Parade. The Parade commences with an ancient eye dotting ceremony designed to awaken the spirit of the lions. Delight at the beauty of the lanterns and floats, the swirling costumes, live music and mass choreography as almost 3,000 performers take to the street. In 2013 the City added building projections along the Parade route, highlighting some of Sydney's buildings with enormous neon imagery and animated dragons.

The Parade starts outside Town Hall and travels down George Street making its way through Chinatown and concluding outside the Sydney Entertainment Centre with a special Chinese New Year fireworks display around Cockle Bay Wharf, Darling Harbour.

Full programming for the 2015 Sydney Chinese New Year Festival will be released later in October 2014. Please check the website for full details.
