Moore Park is the inner-city home to major sports stadiums, entertainment venues, a dining and shopping precinct and Centennial Park, so there are plenty of things to do and see. Head to the Entertainment Quarter for comedy and music events, and to the Sydney Cricket Ground (known as the SCG) to see cricket, aussie rules, rugby union, soccer, baseball and cycling, as well as major concerts.
Moore Park hosts some of Sydney’s top events, from music gigs to major sporting events. Head to the Comedy Store in the Entertainment Quarter for local and international comedy shows; if they’re playing in Sydney, they’ll be playing at the Comedy Store. The Hordern Pavilion, also located in the Entertainment Quarter, hosts the biggest local and international music acts. Nearby restaurants provide a handy spot to grab a bite to eat before or after a show. The EQ Village markets are also held here Wednesday to Saturday, offering fresh local produce and homemade food.
Taste of Sydney in Centennial Park, one of the city’s biggest food events, is a must-visit, showcasing food from the best restaurants; as is Tropfest, the world’s largest short film festival held each January.
