One of the city’s oldest suburbs, The Rocks is known for its historic pubs, cobblestone laneways, outstanding waterfront dining, and year-round itinerary of artistic and cultural events. Join a guided tour of The Rocks to learn about Sydney’s checkered past, browse the thought-provoking works on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art, or go for a stroll along the waterfront to enjoy picture-perfect views of Sydney Harbour.

The Rocks area is found at the heart of a number of Sydney events. Most famously, The Rocks is home to two of Sydney’s most popular markets: The Rocks Markets, held on weekends, and The Rocks Friday Foodie Markets, which are held on Friday evenings. In July, The Rocks Aroma Festival celebrates everything coffee-related, from roasted beans to grinding machines and perfectly paired sweet treats. The Rocks is also one of the precincts that in the spotlight during Vivid Sydney, Sydney’s annual festival of light, music and ideas.
