Cooking for a Cause Social is OzHarvest's hands-on cooking class, held in a commercial kitchen tucked inside the charity's Alexandria warehouse. Guided by an OzHarvest chef, you'll cook alongside a group of like-minded people, all turning rescued ingredients that would otherwise have gone to landfill into something worthwhile.

No cooking experience is needed, just an appetite to learn. Expect new techniques and clever low-waste tricks, with a taste of what you've made along the way. Then you'll help pack it all up, because everything cooked goes out the very next day to people who need a good meal, so the impact carries on well beyond the session itself.

Every session also helps fund OzHarvest's mission to rescue food and feed people in need. Come solo and meet new people, or bring the crew, either way you'll leave with new skills and the knowledge you've helped someone who needed it.
