Felicity Schrader Exhibition: I Fell In Love

Creativity has always been a part of Felicity Schrader's world. From dancing and putting on shows for her parents as a child to discovering the freedom of painting during VCE, her practice has continued to evolve since stepping into the art world in 2020. Today, her work is bold and expressive, combining contemporary colour palettes, strong mark-making, texture and mixed media to create pieces that invite curiosity and imagination.

Her new Art2Muse exhibition, I Fell in Love, explores how beautiful life can be when we allow it to take its course taking a risk, letting go a little and jumping. The series began with a colour palette Felicity discovered while redecorating her daughter's bedroom, which became the visual starting point for a collection that feels whimsical and soft, while capturing something much deeper: that beautiful, almost magical moment when you cry from happiness and joy. Her richly textured impasto oil works are particularly expressive, with the physicality of the paint and intuitive marks bringing a sense of movement and freedom to the canvas.
