Inner West Theatre Company proudly presents Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill: The Musical, an exhilarating production inspired by the raw emotions laid bare in Morissette's seminal album. The story centers on the Healys, who appear to be the picture-perfect family in their competitive Connecticut neighborhood. Yet pictures can be deceiving.

Despite efforts to keep up appearances, Mary Jane battles a growing addiction to opiates and trauma she has not yet come to terms with. Steve watches his wife become increasingly distant, while their children battle challenges of their own. Frankie is determined to find her own voice and discover her sexuality, while Nick must balance the pressure to succeed against exposing his own faults so that justice is served.

Exploring sensitive issues including sexual assault, addiction, and racism, this production presents a vivid, messy, and chaotic portrayal of a modern-day family dealing with their pain and trying to heal.
