The Addams Family The Musical

Sydney buzzes round the clock through the cooler months with a non-stop programme of events. Blockbuster or backstreet, music, fashion, sport or art, the choice of entertainment is endless. Vivid Sydney, which transforms the city into a spectacular canvas of music, lights and ideas, is a winter highlight and there are plenty more to get you packing your bags for a Sydney winter getaway.

Love musicals and a fun night out? Don’t miss The Addams Family Broadway smash musical, now playing at the Capitol Theatre, with its wacky wit and irresistible tunes. War Horse is on at the Sydney Lyric and Jesus Christ Superstar at the Entertainment Centre. This arena version of the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic starts its international tour in Australia and stars Aussies Tim Minchin and Jon Stevens as Judas Iscariot, former Spice Girl Melanie C as Mary Magdalene and Andrew O’Keefe as King Herod.

Sydney Film Festival is one of the world's longest-running film festivals, and a major event on the NSW cultural calendar. The 12-day festival screens feature films, documentaries, short films and animation from around the world in venues across the city. The Sydney Writers' Festival is a landmark on the global literary calendar and Australia's largest annual literary celebration, with more than 300 events and 80,000 visitors. The festival's hub, right on the water at Walsh Bay, makes for a picture-perfect backdrop. The Sydney Comedy Festival, Sydney's largest annual comedy event, returns more than 150 shows at venues including Sydney Opera House, Enmore Theatre, Metro Theatre and Seymour Centre.
