Come along to a family-friendly free event with an outdoor cinema, a glow-in-the-dark artwork installation, storytelling, markets, live music and more.
Listen, learn and participate in a beautiful evening by the Parramatta River and celebrate First Nations art, language and culture.
The event offers a range of exciting activities, workshops, and giveaways for attendees. Some of the highlights include daytime and nighttime astronomy workshops presented by Powerhouse, 500 native plant giveaways from City of Parramatta Council, a phosphorescent mural on Yilabara Path Laneway, live music performances by First Nations Artists, and the opportunity to meet Mahalia Murphy from the Parramatta Eels. For those interested in learning about Dharug culture, there are nursery songs to learn with Merrilee McNaught, basket weaving workshops, Indigenous dance workshops by Jannawi Dance Clan, and Indigenous face painting for kids. Additionally, attendees can attend a cooking demo and "Bush Tucker" talk by Bush to Bowl and a yarn and Q&A session on "How humans lived" with Uncle Chris Tobin, a Dharug Elder.
