The town of Camden is located just over an hour’s drive south-west of the Sydney CBD. Camden is of great historical interest, having played a vital role in the establishment of Australia’s wheat, wool and wine industries at the beginning of the 19th century. Go for a stroll in nearby Mount Annan Botanic Garden –– the largest garden of its kind in Australia –– or take in views of the entire region with a scenic hot air balloon ride. With plenty of gardens, museums and wineries to explore, Camden always has something to offer.
Visitors to Camden will find a variety of Western Sydney events to keep themselves entertained. The ever-popular Paws in the Park features jumping castles, showbags and a photobooth, as well as adorable competition categories including “best dressed” and “cutest puppy”. In March, the spectacular Camden Show puts on an impressive display of fireworks, show jumping, amusement rides and rodeos, while the Narellan Rhythms Festival will get you partying with live music, food stalls, dancing, cultural performances and more.
