The 24th Biennale of Sydney ‘Ten Thousand Suns’, will present a major contemporary art event across six locations in Sydney, including White Bay Power Station, open to the public for the first time in over 100 years. The Biennale will also be exhibited at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Chau Chak Wing Museum at the University of Sydney, UNSW Galleries and Artspace.

With the artistic direction led by Cosmin Costinaș and Inti Guerrero, the 24th Biennale of Sydney proposes celebration as both a method and a source of joy, inspired by legacies of collective resistance and coming together to thrive in the face of injustice. With an exhibition of contemporary art at its core, the event draws from multiple histories, voices and perspectives, to explore connected thematic threads.

An extensive program of events complements the exhibition, including the electric ‘Lights On’ opening night, featuring live music curated by Phoenix Central Park, dance floors, food trucks, bars, installations and roving performances. Public programs include free daily art tours, panels, artist talks, performances, live music, family days, feasts and workshops. Education programs for primary and secondary students include self-guided experiences, educator-led experiences, and school workshops.
