Bangbang Espresso - Surry Hills
Fully Licensed (no BYO)
Bangbang is a bright, cool café at the quiet end of Reservoir Street nestled amongst the terrace houses of Surry. It does a serious weekend breakfast trade, with loyal patronage since its modest debut. A retro Brit-inspired menu of black pudding, bacon butties, posh fish fingers and more is well-executed along with their own smooth Golden Cobra blend. Former DJ Alan Thomson (of Ministry of Sound Housexy and Clubbers Guide compilations) opened the café in 2009 and has installed silver drum stools as chairs and a mural depicting oversized headphones on the café's main wall. It evokes a sense of urban chic and compliments the eclectic tunes overhead.
