Review

Cafe Paci is a year long pop up (Aug 2013 - Aug -2014)on the site previously housing Cafe Pacifico (they've cleverly dropped the 'fico' and saved on a new sign). The first thing you'll want to know is that it was opened by Pasi Petanen, formerly head chef at Marque for eight years. The menu is about as interesting as it gets - drawing from his Finnish background, with a nod to the Mexican history of the site and a Vietnamese touch to round it out. Cafe Paci offers a set menu only but in a far more approachable way with relaxed and friendly service. The wine list is taken care of by Dennis Roman, also ex-Marque, who will expertly guide you through a global selection of wines. Don't leave this on restaurant on the bottom of your to do list; in a year's time, you will be very disappointed you missed out.
