The Parkside Cottage Museum is situated in a 19th-century cottage and was established in 1968.
It holds some extremely important items for Narrandera and district including a first-rate yesteryear Telecom equipment display, a set of silver ingots marking 1,000 years of monarchy, and an extensive and valuable worldwide collection of shells.
The celebrated scarlet coloured merino cloak is also on display and is the only one of its kind in the world, made from the first bale of wool sent to England by the Macarthur family in 1816.
