The Goulburn Wetlands Project, the GWP, was a staged regeneration of an abandoned brick pit and pond flowing through Goulburn City.
Works completed on the site included construction of rock walls to capture, direct and retain water crucial for the support of wildlife breeding habitats and the protection of fauna indigenous to Goulburn, feature a network of walking and cycling paths, bird hides, interpretive information about the sites flora, fauna and historical brickmaking use as well as various recreational activities.
The Wetlands is now becoming a significant community recreation asset and is continually under development by the FROGS Landcare Group. was an abandoned brick pit which has since been converted into a public parklands and a natural storm-water treatment system.
