Classical Guitarist Harold Gretton in Concert

Overview
The Classical Guitar Society presents Harold Gretton in concert in a program of "Old Friends".
Every musician has their own scrapbook of Old Friends: pieces they love coming back to, pieces they've always wanted to play and pieces with a personal connection.
Harold Gretton's scrapbook includes a diverse mix of masterpieces, brought to life by his duel passions for historical performance research and contemporary repertoire.
The program traverses the Spanish flare of Francisco Tarrega, the understated virtuosity of Napoleon Coste, the uncomfortable poignance of Joaquin Rodrigo, the timeless depth of Bach, and evocative works from Australian composers Peter Sculthorpe, Richard Charlton and Tara Lynham.
Harold Gretton has won numerous international competitions, both as a soloist and in various chamber music combinations. He has performed concerts throughout Europe, in the USA, Mexico, Vietnam and Australia.
