Sea Gathering Family Event

Overview
Families are invited to an enchanting evening of light, music, storytelling, and free entertainment at the Australian National Maritime Museum during Vivid Sydney.
The night begins with Tunku and Ngaadi, a breathtaking rooftop projection that shares a traditional Dreaming story from the NSW South Coast. Created by Walbunja and Ngarigo artist Cheryl Davison, this powerful visual experience brings ancient stories to life in a stunning display of light and culture.
Guests can enjoy a live performance by Cheryl Davison and the Djinama Yilaga Choir on the museum's performance platform, setting a soulful tone for the evening.
Children are encouraged to get creative in the makers space, where they can craft their own glowing whale lanterns—perfect for adding a personal touch to the night's festivities.
For the best view of the rooftop projection, visitors can head to the Action Stations lookout, offering a spectacular vantage point. The experience continues with a guided walk across Pyrmont Bridge, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the projection's soundscape and storytelling.
To complete the evening, a delicious menu curated by Indigenous chef Mindy Woods is available for purchase at Ripples, offering a taste of culture to match the night's visual and musical delights.
