Bastille Festival
Overview
Bastille Festival returns to Circular Quay and The Rocks, bringing four days of French food, wine, art and celebration to Sydney's harbour—free to attend.
Now in its 13th year, the festival invites visitors to experience a true taste of France, from raclette, escargots and crêpes to mulled wine, rosé and French-inspired cocktails. With more than 130 exhibitors and over 80 dishes, it's a culinary journey through regional classics and modern creations.
Wine is at the heart of the experience, with Taste France x Vin de France offering tastings, masterclasses and interactive moments, alongside 18+ bars across the precinct.
For 2026, Bastille Festival expands beyond its traditional footprint, connecting Circular Quay through a wider musical journey in collaboration with the city's busking program. A new French-inspired flea market at Gateway Plaza adds vintage finds, artisan goods and a community-focused touch.
With over 110 free performances—including live music, cabaret and roaming entertainment—the festival transforms the harbour into a lively celebration of French culture and joie de vivre.
Eat. Drink. Dance. Repeat.
